Told you I’d be back with the second part of my 2018 manicures – and it didn’t take me 3 months to do it! #hugewinforme
I won’t delay this any longer: here is some nail art by the talented girls at Kitty Claws. Have a look at these and tell me I’m not the most pampered girl when it comes to awesome nail design! As always, I’m curious what is your favorite, so let me know in the comments! 🙂
Lemonade yellow
By far one of my least favorite manicures this year (I bet you didn’t expect this) – and you can tell by the fact that I didn’t even take proper pictures of them. Didn’t mean to start with my least favorite, but you know, now the only way is up, haha!
They were my least favorite because I had 0 inspiration when I went to my appointment, didn’t do my research properly and had no idea what I wanted. Also I think I chose the wrong shade of yellow, but you live and you learn and next time I’ll definitely know.
What do you think of these? Are they as bad as I made them to be?
My summer garden
From 0 to 100 real quick, these are one of my favorite designs I had this year – if not all time favorite! They represent everything I love most in a manicure: flower design, cute summer color combo and dainty details! What can I say more about these? The pictures speak for themselves! I loved them and giving them up was among the hardest things I had to do all year! #imsodramatic
The adult coloring book
The original design was inspired by a dry shampoo can, but the results we got remind me of an adult coloring book for some reason. These were super cute and super hard to paint, but sadly got ruined pretty quickly for 2 reasons: 1. they were matte and the white got instantly dirty and 2. the actual nail polish layer was pretty thin and my nails being thin to begin with, it was a recipe for disaster because I think a few of them broke. They got ruined so quickly that I didn’t even have time to take some additional pictures. Still, they were pretty while they lasted.
Pink marble-actually-not-marble
These ones were inspired by a pair of headphones, haha. I know, my brain is weird! But I saw the design and I loved it! Figured as headphones they’d be to hard to keep clean, but as nails they would be perfect! I was right, obviously! Even though we changed the design a bit, they still turned out super duper cute! Very resistant as well! #love
Btw, these are the headphones I bought. Yes, I know, the name of the company is not that good because you can’t think “plug” without thinking “butt”, but their products are really really good (and super pretty, don’t you think?)
Wild flowers
So when I went to this appointment I said “I’m gonna get something simple, I don’t want to spend too much time getting a manicure this time”. Now when you look at the picture above, does it seem like my plan panned out, haha? But it was so worth it, don’t you think? These were absolutely perfect – from the color combo to the design (I know, flowers again, I’m such a snooze, right?) to the texture – hello, matte! You can tell I loved them very much, because I dedicated an entire themed photoshoot to them.
What do you think of these series? Did you enjoy them? I think they were pretty summerish, n’est-ce pas?
Until next time.
Cheers,
