Hi, there! I know you’re here to find out a bit about me, but I’m just gonna over-share because 1. it’s in my nature and 2. you might as well know who you’re dealing with upfront. 🙂
My name is Andreea, I live in Bucharest, I’m a child of the 90s and I love everything about that era: the music, the fashion, the movies, TV shows and the books (if you think I’m crazy, think again: the Harry Potter books came out in the 90s *wink wink*).
I consider myself to be a super geek – you would consider me too if you knew just how much I enjoy cheesy jokes, interesting facts and statistics and that I used to love math in high-school. And my undying love for the fantasy genre doesn’t help either: Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Marvel, Supernatural and The Matrix are just a few of my favorites!
I love dystopian books and murder mysteries, whether they’re in book form (any Agatha Christie novel), TV form (Sherlock, Mindhunter and any Agatha Christie TV adaptation) or movie form (Gone Girl, amirite?)
My taste in music may surprise you and my knowledge in movies may scare you, but you can blame my parents for this, as I grew up in a young home where we always had both (I first watched Friends with my folks when I was in primary school). I grew up being my dad’s little boy, so I’m not a textbook girly-girl, but it does happen from time to time.
If I could travel for a living I would, and I would spend all my time exploring and eating and taking pictures.
I love to write and to talk and you can definitely tell by how long my posts are, haha. I don’t consider myself to be beautiful, but instead I think I’m an intelligent, funny and independent person with a good personality – as any non-beautiful person knows is a must to have :). Of course, I have my many stupid moments, don’t we all? 🙂
This blog came to life from my need to write and tell stories, but it’s definitely a challenge to provide content while having a full-time demanding job (I work as a data analyst and I love it – still don’t think I’m a geek?). However, no matter how challenging it all becomes, I will be here, still writing, even if it’s once per month.
