I’d hoped that my next post will be sooner than this, but you guys, it’s been a crazy summer, work-wise at least. So crazy that I didn’t get the chance to plan any vacation for fall and now it’s too late because prices are pretty spicy. So, here I am, dreaming about last year’s vacation when we went to Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. It was gorgeous and relaxing and a real break from real life and I wish I could’ve had a similar experience this year. Here’s to planning ahead! (click on read more to see a ton more pictures 😉)

Paris (or Living Abroad part 2)
If you’ve read my previous post about living in Paris you would think I’d hated it there. However, that’s really not true, I was being a bit dramatic because I was feeling lonely. After that first month, my spirits have improved. Partly because I embraced my experience as it was my last month staying there, but partly because I had some visitors and a more active social life, which definitely had a positive impact.
Living abroad
I’ve been absent quite a while, but honestly this has happened almost all year so you must be used to it by now, haha. If during spring and summer the reason has been the amount of social events I had to attend, now it’s work related. All of you who read my previous post know that I’m currently in Paris for work. I had to be here for two months, one of which has already passed. Seemed like now would be a good time to share a realistic view on what it’s like to live abroad – my realistic view, at least. So here goes.
Exciting news
I feel like all I’ve done all year is make excuses why I haven’t written anything. But believe me, it’s been a pretty hectic year so far and it’s not over yet. Why have I been absent recently? Well, I have a new job that’s more challenging than everything I’ve done so far and what I did for the past month is try to keep my head above water. This is one of the reasons – the other one is the abundance of weddings and parties I have to attend (poor me, right?, haha :D). So you can see how the lack of free time can be a factor in my absence on the blog (or on social media) – I barely have enough time to sleep, let alone do anything else.
Geneva
I know it’s gonna sound very ungrateful because not everyone’s job gives them the opportunity to travel, but I really didn’t feel like going on this trip. Yeah, I know, I’m the one who said that I want to travel more – and I do – but you wouldn’t wanna travel by yourself for work either. What’s more, I had layovers both on the trip to and on the trip back, so there was even more time to kill by all by myself. I went to Geneva without any expectations (except of high prices) and was completely charmed! ^_^
8/10 would recommend (8 because it’s an amazing country, but I wasn’t kidding when I said that prices are high)
