What I’ve been up to lately

Hi guys! I know it’s been a long while, but it took me some time to start feeling like myself again. The Covid-19 outbreak and social distancing period really had an impact on my mental health (but thank God for my physical health during this time!).

While things haven’t changed much for me in terms of work – working from home but (thankfully) still working full time – they changed a lot socially. I really felt the distancing part: I was very much missing my friends and family, missing my very long walks and my weekends exploring the city. I also miss wearing my “presentable human” clothes and looking like a woman, instead of a troll 90% of the time (my fiancé is a lucky man huh?! 😅).

Paris (or Living Abroad part 2)

If you’ve read my previous post about living in Paris you would think I’d hated it there. However, that’s really not true, I was being a bit dramatic because I was feeling lonely. After that first month, my spirits have improved. Partly because I embraced my experience as it was my last month staying there, but partly because I had some visitors and a more active social life, which definitely had a positive impact.

Geneva

I know it’s gonna sound very ungrateful because not everyone’s job gives them the opportunity to travel, but I really didn’t feel like going on this trip. Yeah, I know, I’m the one who said that I want to travel more – and I do – but you wouldn’t wanna travel by yourself for work either. What’s more, I had layovers both on the trip to and on the trip back, so there was even more time to kill by all by myself. I went to Geneva without any expectations (except of high prices) and was completely charmed! ^_^
8/10 would recommend (8 because it’s an amazing country, but I wasn’t kidding when I said that prices are high)
