Hey world and hello 2020! It’s been a while since I posted one of these – in fact, it’s been a while since I posted at all. I took a big break all through December and January, mostly due to work, sickness, Christmas, vacation, spending time with the family and, again, more work. ๐
Now that Jan’s finally over (took a while, huh?), I thought I’d get back into the swing of things with the last ‘week of outfits’ post. Notย latest, butย last as I’m kinda closing this series for a while. Instead of a weekly thing, it’s going to be occasional – something I will post now and again, but not regularly. But I’ll still share them daily on Instagram stories, so if you enjoy you can still see them there. ๐
This is not really a week’s worth of outfits, but probably a few weeks. But I don’t think anyone minds – it will be our secret ๐ค๐๐
Day 1
One of those outfits that looks good in your head but then you wear it and… it’s not at all the way you thought it would be. My main problem was the shirt – the material was too loose and transparent. I felt weird – like I’d mistakenly wore my business pajama top to work ๐
(Polka dot shirt hand-me-down from my sister, old Stradivarius trousers, Adidas Falcon W Crystal White sneakers)
Day 2
I swear it was mid-November while I was wearing this. It was just unusually warm for that time of year. Of course, I didn’t actually go out like this, but put a coat on before walking out the door.
(Mango striped T-shirt, Cheap Monday white culotte jeans, Stradivarius block heel shoes)
Day 3
One of my absolute favorites! I love the color palette and I love the mini-hearts midi-skirt, which was a bargain I stumbled upon at a thrift store. Only 2 eur, can you believe it?! This skirt will forever be my favorite, as I was wearing it the night I got engaged โค
(H&M jumper, thrifted midi skirt, Topshop Cairo chunky sneakers)
Day 4
The perfect outfit to wear in case of food baby, haha. In my case, the perfect top to wear with a difficult pair of jeans that accentuates my belly (aka makes me look 4-5 months pregnant). Still feeling this color palette too.
(Mango top, Mango jeans, Stradivarius Chelsea boots)
Day 5
A classic combination – I wore the almost exact same thing today. Only thicker sweater and chunkier boots, as we’ve had our first snow and I had to be warm. I felt very good wearing this – both today and the day I took this picture. I think this was my first time wearing my vintage Levi’s jeans that I bought from someone online. I think the 512 style is actually for men, but as they fit absolutely perfectly on the waist I had them altered on the leg so now they’re the perfect pair of mom jeans.
(Zara top, Levi’s 512 vintage jeans, old black boots)
Day 6
I loved this outfit SO MUCH – it made me feel really good and it gave me a lot of confidence. I remember perfectly the day I wore this because it was the exact day I started to put (back) on serious weight – and I’m only half joking ๐ All I had that day was carbs, so my body’s demise was predictable.
(Mango top, Mango jeans, Adidas Falcon W Crystal White sneakers)
Day 7
You can tell by my face that I wasn’t feeling too good after all the carbs haha ๐ So I wore my favorite sweater to make myself feel better and the loosest pair of pants in my wardrobe, for comfort.
(H&M sweater, Jones New York thrifted corduroy pants, Public Desire chunky sneakers)
Day 8
An outfit so good that, after posting it on Instagram stories, I got a reply even from one of my least fashionย male friends telling me how much he loved it. A good outfit, but I wish the shirt was easier to wear under the dress – it wrinkled so much and I had to pull it down almost constantly.
(thrifted shirt, Zara daisy dress, old boots)
Day 9
A chunky, cozy outfit, but not the most flattering one. The sweater is big and the jeans are not slimming at all. But damn it is it comfortable!!
(Mango sweater, Levi’s 512 jeans, old black boots)
Day 10
Another outfit that is not flattering at all, but that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately this was my first and last time wearing that sweater – that freaking sweater that ruined all of my white clothes in one fell swoop! I put it in the wash with a load of whites because I thought putting it with the blacks would stain it!! Surprise! Insteadย it stained all of my white clothes, including its own white stripes which are now pinkish grey. It’s horrible – I was very upset about it.
(Mango jumper, Zara jeans, old black boots)
Day 11
Something that I found out since I impulse-purchased this sweater is that everybody loves it. Every time I wore it I got either messages on Instagram or compliments in person (and I’m loving it!). Itย isย a very pretty color and very comfortable, indeed. Perhaps shouldn’t be worn with dark colored shoes though.
(Mango sweater, Cheap Monday white culotte jeans, Giulio black suede combat boots)
Day 12
I don’t know what I was so happy about that day – probably about having socks to match my shoes haha. A very comfortable, very low maintenance outfit that I liked and that I’d probably wear again. Although the top is a bit too long for my taste – I like my hoodies to be either oversized or shorter (almost cropped). This has a weird length that I can’t do anything about because of the big central pocket.
(H&M hoodie, Mango jeans, Topshop Cairo chunky trainers)
Day 13
An outfit that was so comfortable but that also looked very good – in my opinion anyway. This is the kind of outfit that makes you feel good about yourself: chunky, but does not highlight your least favourite things about yourself.
(H&M cardigan, Mango ribbed T-shirt, Zara jeans, Adidas Falcon W Crystal White sneakers)
Day 14
I don’t know what it is about this outfit that feels off to me. I felt that while wearing it (and you can see it on my face) and I feel it now, by looking at the picture. And no, it’s not the pose – which mainly happened because I wanted to show that these are actually culotte jeans.
(H&M sweater, Mango black culotte jeans, Giulio black suede combat boots)
Day 15
A sweater I love that makes my life difficult. It’s just so big and loose that I always have a hard time pairing it with bottoms. That’s why I wore my skinny black jeans – to show that I don’t actually weigh 100kg ๐ Added the chunky trainers to balance out the chunkiness ๐
(Mango jumper, Zara skinny black jeans, Topshop Cairo chunky trainers)
And that’s it! You know that I’m curious to find out which one or more outfits you like best! Please leave a comment to let me know ๐
If you like seeing other people’s outfits, if you like to judge what they wore or both, you can follow me on Instagram where I share my looks on Stories almost daily (sans the days that I’m working from home or not going anywhere).
Talk to you soon ๐
