Happy nails – 2019 edition – part 1

Here we are, nearing the end of the year (how did time fly by so fast?!) and I thought I’d share with you some of the incredible nail designs I’ve had this year. These wouldn’t have been possible if not for the infinite inspiration that can be found on Instagram and Pinterest, but especially not without my very talented nail artist who always indulges me and who has been supporting (but more tolerating I guess πŸ˜„) my addiction to flowery designs for more than 2 years now.

In a galaxy far, far away…

Can I just start by saying that this is one of my favorite designs of the year? πŸ˜„ Not at all wintery (I usually do a themed nail and it was January when I had these), but nonetheless 100% cute! I loved everything about them: the color combo, the constellation theme, the subtle glitter! Just looking at these makes me happy and I woule do them again in a heartbeat!

Dolla’ dolla’ bill, y’all

I can explain… πŸ˜„ We were joking around in the salon that some people actually think that the gold transfer foil is actually made of 24k gold and that we could say that I had to pay in foreign currency since I used some. πŸ˜„ Believe me, we had a lot of fun on this subject 😁

Otherwise, my manicure was one of the most delicate designs I’ve ever had and I loved it!

Spring awakening

Here is one of those floral designs that I mentioned I’m so obsessed with 😁 how can you not love it, though? The flowers are so pretty and they make an otherwise boring manicure feel special.

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Yes, you guessed right, I did use my cat as a backdrop for this picture, but the thing is he loved it! I was petting his belly and noticed how good my nails look against his fur so I snapped a pic. The photo below shows my nails before they applied the red coat and that silver layer is the secret behind our mirrory finish.

This is one of the simplest designs I’ve had all year and it kinda reminds me of Snow White because I imagine that the apple she took a bite of was exactly that red and shiny. And also the other nails are shimmery and kinda look like snow. This would’ve made a good Christmas manicure I think.

Walking on sunshine

These could be my favorite ones… EVER! Honestly, I still think they look so good and they turned out exactly like the inspiration we had. They were delicate, they were spring-y, they were playful and happy! I have a tiny obsession with yellow (can clearly be seen by my choice of pulloverΒ πŸ˜…), but this is not the main reason why I love these. I think the nude ones turned out just as perfect, but they wouldn’t have been able to stand out so well if there wasn’t a pop of colour somewhere. I don’t remember exactly, but I may have put my hand in everyone’s faces while I had these, so that they could admire them πŸ˜‡

Which ones are your favorite?

See you next time,
